This 4ft LED T8 tube light bulb from Crompton Lamps replaces the mercury and other hazardous materials found in compact fluorescent tubes with modern LED components, making it a much safer, more reliable and more efficient alternative.
The tube’s linear circuit board is adorned with a series of SMD LED chips that sit within a protective, cylindrical glass shell. This use of glass - rather than plastic - prevents the tube from bending, warping or discolouring over time.
The tube itself uses just 22W but delivers the same light output as a 36W compact fluorescent tube, within an optimal 320° beam angle. Despite the much improved performance offered by its LED componentry, it shares the same G13 fitting as the fluorescent tubes it’s been designed to replace. This makes upgrading incredibly simple and completely removes the need for rewiring of any sort. Simply remove your power hungry 36W fluorescent tube, replace it with this 22W LED equivalent and you can begin to benefit from substantially reduced lighting costs almost immediately.
Fitted with a standard sized G13 2-pin (13mm apart) caps to both ends.
No warping, no bending. Replaces 36W fluorescent tube but consumes only 22W of power. Supplied in rigid 2mm cardboard tube to minimise risk of transport damage. Not suitable for dimming.
Crompton Lamps recommends wiring this light bulb directly to the mains for optimum efficiency.
Any LED or LED Smart light bulb bought from Lightbulbs Direct carries a 24-month warranty.
If you should purchase an LED light bulb from Lightbulbs Direct and have it fail, break or develop a fault at any point within the timeline stated above from the date of purchase, we will happily replace the item or offer a full refund, depending on your wishes.
In instances where large numbers of bulbs fail within a relatively short period of time, we may ask you to return them to us so that they can undergo testing to identify any potential issues.
This product is also covered by a manufacturer's warranty for a period of 5 years from date of purchase. Please visit the manufacturer's website for further details.
In any instance where your bulb has developed a fault, we will do our utmost to replace it or offer a full refund (provided the item is still within its stated warranty period). However, if it becomes apparent that the product has been misused, tampered with or modified in any way, we will view this as having voided its warranty.
'Misuse" includes, but is not limited to, incorrect operation by the user, use of non-dimmable bulbs on a dimmable circuit or connection to or operation with an unsuitable power supply. 'Tampering' or 'modification' can be interpreted as any activity designed to alter the product in such a way that it can be used in a manner that wasn't intended by its original design. This can include rewiring, removing plugs, home repairs or changing components. Unfortunately, we won't be able to replace any item that has undergone any such process.
