How to use our web site
Here are a few hints and tips to help you make the most of our web site.
Register
Please do register on our web site. This will enable you to use all the features of our site including our free “MyBulbs” feature (see below) and make it easier when you wish to place orders. Putting your e-mail address into our site will NOT result in you getting loads of “spam” - we never share our customer data with third parties and we will only send you e-mails in accordance with our privacy policy.
MyBulbs
Make use of our free MyBulbs feature to keep your own personal list of all of the bulbs that you use in your home or business. When you’ve found the item you need, simply choose an appropriate name for the bulb and click the “add to My Bulbs” button.
Search Facilities
We sell several thousand different bulbs, tubes and lamps, not all of which are yet shown on our web site. Even the bulbs that are on our site can have many different descriptions, part numbers and manufacturers names.
If you can’t find what you need from the site search, please try the bulbfinder or the advanced search. If you still can’t find what you need, try our Assisted Search facility or contact us by phone or e-mail and we will do everything we can to help you find the item that you need.
Ordering
To order an item, simply find the product you need and click “Add to Basket” at the bottom of the product display page, select the quantity you need and then click “update total” to check the total cost. Once you select quantities greater than the pack quantity or have a total order that qualifies for free delivery the prices and totals are altered automatically.
Having selected all of the products that you need, click “Checkout” to enter the rest of the order details and then “Make Secure Payment” to complete your purchase. Credit card payments are made via the SagePay secure payment system so no credit card details are either entered onto or stored on our web site.

Problems Using Our Site
One common problem which will prevent you using either the shopping basket or logging on to our site is caused by you setting your web browser not to allow “cookies” to be sent to your PC. Our web site uses cookies to keep track of your shopping basket and to allow you to log on to our site. If you set the privacy level in your web browser to “medium” or lower this will generally be OK.
